What is a CSA Box?
CSA stands for Community-Supported Agriculture. It is a system in which you, the customer, pays up-front for an agreed-upon amount of fresh produce from our garden over a set period of time.
Why should I get a CSA Box?
Three reasons: first and foremost, you get to support local producers like Unity Gardens! Second, you get to try a variety of fresh, ecologically grown, hand-picked produce every week. Third, you get all naturally grown, freshly harvested, local produce at a great discount!
How does it work?
For a one-time payment, you will receive approximately $20 worth of food for $18 from us on weeks you choose from mid-June to mid-October! You can pick up your produce the Unity Gardens Welcome Center on 3701 Prast Boulevard on either Tuesday or Thursday. When you come by to pick up your box, don't forget to say hello to the Unity Gardens team, take a walk through the garden, and visit the goats and chickens! Then, you can go home to enjoy your produce and repeat the goodness next week!
What should I expect in my CSA share?
You can expect anything that grows in our garden, including greens, herbs, tomatoes, zucchini, squash, hot peppers, green beans, root vegetables, fruit and more! The produce will change as the season progresses. All of our produce is grown using natural, sustainable techniques ensuring you're getting delicious and wholesome food. The generous portions will make many yummy meals throughout the week!
