Fall Garden Series

Every Tuesday in September at 6pm at 3701 Prast Blvd!!
September 2nd: Season Extension & Closing Your Garden
We'll go over what you can still produce in your garden this fall and how to extend our growing season. We'll also talk about how to close up your garden for the season to protect your soil and pollinators and prevent weeds and diseases the following season!

September 9th: Garden with Native Plants
Learn about the symbiotic relationship between native plants and our local ecosystem as well as gain the fundamentals for designing your own native garden for both aesthetics and biodiversity! Native gardens can reduce water and fertilizer usage, time spent mowing, and create important habitat in your own backyard.

September 16th: Orchard Workshop
Learn the basics of orchard care and what you need to know before you plant your orchard. This includes what fruit you should plant in Indiana, how to plant it and its basic maintenance for the first three years.

September 23rd: Fall Foraging (only in person!!)
We'll talk about what you can forage at this time of year, including how to identify it, prepare it, and what it's good for. Weather permitting, we'll walk through the garden to get some hands-on experience and tasting!
