Unity Gardens Classes are all free and open to anyone. Classes normally last 60 to 90 min. We host most classes at our Welcome Center on 3701 Prast Boulevard, but also in other spaces in the area. Watch here.

Taught by Jan McGowan, Naturalist from the St. Joseph County Parks April 12, 9-11 am- Birding for Beginners Enjoy the bird life in your yard or garden! Become acquainted with birds common to our gardens, even some of their songs! You will also learn tips and tricks for identifying birds on your own. A bird hike through the Unity Gardens will follow the presentation. Bring binoculars if you have them. Some loaners will be available. May 6, 12-1pm- Birds and Plants Birds and plants, plants and birds: you can’t have one without the other! Discover how essential plants and birds are to one another. Discover ways that you can manage your garden and yardscape to attract and support birds year-round. |
